Division of Nursing
The Division of Nursing is the definition of Public Health—preventing illness and injury, promoting health and wellbeing, and protecting the community from infectious disease. Providing immunizations, tuberculosis (TB) skin testing, and health screenings are among the daily activities of our public health nurses.
Under contract with the Adams County Ohio Valley School District and Manchester School District, the Health Department provides public health nurses to each of the schools in the county.
Uninsured and Underinsured residents of Adams County can see a physician without charge in the Medical Clinic. The clinic has been in operation since 1993.
