Due to mechanical issues, the Hope Van is no longer being utilized. The Adams County Health Department extends its thanks to the community for all of the support provided throughout the years of the Hope Van provided service.
RAPID HEPATITIS C AND HIV TESTING will be offered at the Adams County Health Department on the second Thursday of each month, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
This important testing is offered FREE OF CHARGE by the Portsmouth City Health Department.
Results for both tests will be given to you the same day testing is performed. Referrals will be made if appropriate for further testing or treatment.

The Division of Nursing is the definition of Public Health—preventing illness and injury, promoting health and wellbeing, and protecting the community from infectious disease. Providing immunizations, tuberculosis (TB) skin testing, and health screening are among the daily activities of our public health nurses.
Under contract with the Adams County Ohio Valley School District and Manchester School, the Health Department provides public health nurses to each of the schools in the county.
Uninsured and Underinsured residents of Adams County can see a physician without charge in the Medical Clinic. The clinic has been in operation since 1993.
